Non-Knowledge

Non-Knowledge (Matthias Gross, 2000s) – deliberate or accepted ignorance, sometimes due to social or institutional reasons. Examples include:
  • Denials – details too painful to allow into conscious awareness
  • Unknown Knowns – details we do know but that are not part of conscious awareness
